This webinar is part III in a series of five presentations focusing on fire prevention, including codes and standards, water and alternative based protection systems, and testing frequency of fire systems.
An Alliant sponsored certificate of completion will be issued to those who attend and pass all five webinars.
A ten question quiz will be offered upon exiting each webinar.
Webinar Overview
This course will focus on water based fire sprinkler systems including:
- Types of water main valves
- Friction loss
- Types of fire hydrants
- Fire sprinkler function
- Different types of water based sprinkler systems
- Common reasons sprinkler systems fail
Presenters
Tim Leech has 24 years of experience working in the environmental, health and safety field as a risk control professional and insurance broker consultant. As First Vice President of Alliant Risk Control Consulting, Tim provides leadership and direction to the practice’s national network of risk control and safety professionals.
Brent Escoubas has 16 years experience working on claims reduction strategies, safety culture development and bottom line cost reduction strategies for safety.
Brent conducts over 100 hours of on-site and web-based safety training annually to universities, municipalities, manufacturing and service industries.
About the Webinar
This is an audio plus web format that enables participants to receive this training without leaving their facility. Audio is streamed live over the internet, thus eliminating the need to call in. Participants are able to send questions to the presenter via instant messaging.
